Tamakoshi-9 Hydropower Project

Project Brief

The project lies in the upper reaches of Tamakoshi river in Dolakha District of Nepal. The entire project components are located along the right bank of Tamakoshi River between elevation of 2165 m and 2000 m above mean sea level. The gross head of the project is 162 m, the design discharge is 20.25 m3/s and the installed capacity is 24.46 MW.

The project is within very short distance of about 170 km from the Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. At present, Feasibility Study of the project is completed and approval of Feasibility Study Report from Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation is obtained.
