As the Founding Chairman and Managing Director of CE Construction Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Rajbhandary turned a modest one-room office with an initial capital of NPR 300,000 into a flagship enterprise of national significance. To date, CE Construction has successfully completed over 300 major projects, many of which have set new benchmarks in quality and scale.

His entrepreneurial journey spans over 26 successful ventures across diverse sectors including real estate, hydropower, manufacturing, trading, consulting, healthcare, and banking. With a vision to foster social and development entrepreneurs, Mr. Rajbhandary also established Grande Holding Pvt. Ltd., which supports founders in overcoming capital and capacity constraints by offering strategic guidance and mentorship.

Under his leadership and with the objective of fostering social and development entrepreneurs, Grande Holding Pvt. Ltd. was established to support founders in overcoming capital and capacity challenges through strategic guidance and mentorship. As an innovator and technocrat, he spearheaded the development of a locally-adapted Construction Management System (CMS) and contributed his expertise to ERP systems designed for integrated project management in Nepal’s context.

Respected not only for his business accomplishments but also for his deep commitment to human development and mentorship, Mr. Rajbhandary has indulged himself in the training of young engineers and entrepreneurs for decades. His people-first philosophy at CE—rooted in the principles of a culture of sense of belonging, “lifetime employment,” and “employment beyond lifetime,” and has nurtured over 500 competent engineers and provided employment to 2,000–4,000 individuals across his ventures.

A firm believer in inclusive progress, Mr. Rajbhandary actively integrates social responsibility into all his ventures. He has led philanthropic initiatives such as Constructing Hospice Nepal for terminally ill cancer patients, Building Pagoda and Dhamma Hall at the Vipassana Meditation Centre, sponsoring education for blind students, underprivileged children, and CE employees’ families, supporting national policy development through Niti Foundation, which he was the founding director to promote research-based governance innovation in Nepal.

Beyond his entrepreneurial legacy, Mr. Rajbhandary is a dedicated Vipassana meditator and he inspires many as a role model who integrates leadership with inner transformation.
